I have done some research on this rug/blanket and what I have found is quite interesting. It was originally purchased while on vacation in Oaxaca Mexico in the late 1950's but at that time it was not

 

Very fancy marked E. Garcia spurs. Also marked Pleasant Valley Saddle Shop 18 of 75. To be honest I don't believe these have been used at all. Extremely good condition. 1 1/4" wide heel band. 3" wide
