This is a vintage pretty woman wood kokeshi doll made in Japan. She is wearing a hand painted orange kimono on her front. Please see photos. The kokeshi doll size is approx. 4-5/8 inches tall and 7/8

 

Up for auction is a Alaskan Soapstone Carving that is signed Sam Willie and behind that it reads Joe. It appears to be dated 3/8/53, but that could be a number, I do not know. It is hard to make out.
