Nautical Folk Art Hand Painted Wooden Sailboat Rudder I live on Long Island NY,I found this sailboat rudder beach combing on the North Shore of L.I.. It is weathered a little rusty, basically it shows

 

Dating to the 1930's, this is an interesting sundial compass. It has a gnomon that elevates to the proper angle based on latitude with charts on inside of lid. It was distributed by Outdoor Supply Co

 

The brass handle has no makers mark and measures 5-1/4" long.Probably used on the back of a small boat as a lifting handle.

 

Being offered is a Fabulous Vintage Ships Time Quartz Clock w/ Walnut Case. The number 67 is seen in picture (5) which makes me believe the clock might have been made in 1967 but can't say for sure. T
