The study of buttons in history through is a wide topic. Unlike some collectibles, buttons have few parts. This button dates from the time of the Civil War and features a Poodle with a traditional cut

 

A few of the buttons on the packages are newer, perhaps 1950s or 1960s. However, the majority appear to be much older, perhaps from the 1920s or 1930s or older. I am starting them at a super low price

Nice vintage 6" glass egg darner on pedestal with red/blue swirl. Was sitting on a fireplace mantle at a local estate sale and shows some honest base wear.

Vintage, 3/4 inch diameter, 1 piece concave Japanese Hand Enameled Button of a flying Swan, very well executed and in very good condition. Button is slightly cupped and also has some hand chisel work.
