I found this identical radio on ebay and it said it was bakelite. I tested this and I don't think it is bakelite. It measures 8" wide x 5.5 tall x 4.5 deep and is maroon plastic or bakelite. It flips

 

This auction is for a vintage ITT green Wall mount rotary telephone. There were some stickers on the front that I removed and there is a faded area from it. I don't know if it is glue residue or not.
