This antique violin has been in my family since the Civil War era. It was made by E.J. Albert of Philadelphia, and includes the violin, original bow and case. In the photographs you can see a picture

This instrument is 37" long overall and 12 1/2" wide at it's greatest point. It bears the name "d'Orso just below the bridge. There is a with the grain split on the top and a split stave on the back.

This is a unique find....solid brass with 13 valves. It is 11" long and the horn is 4-1/8" in diameter. Could it be a WW1 instrument? I think it is a trumpet or Flugel. Sadly, the mouth piece is broke
