Up for auction is a beautiful antique needlework sampler, worked in wool on a linen ground. This piece was made by Jane Denton, aged 10, and is dated 1829. Jane's sampler is unassuming and quite charm

 

In beautiful condition with an almost sculpted 3D look to the punched chenille work. The gold metallic and blue lace trim has approx. 2" missing or damaged. Pillow form can easily be slipped into back
