I don't know a lot about the materials used to make this hat pin, or its exact age, but I do know a bit about its history. My great aunt collected hat pins (please see my other auctions!) and this one

 

Vintage Art Deco Compact by HOUBIGANT. Holds face powder , rouge, and small lipstick. Mirrored back ( small chip in left corner see photo) Made of brass and marked with Maker Houbigant. Nice vintage c

 

Beautifully jeweled and enameled WNM mirror compact. In original box. All jewels intact. Mirrors intact and clear, no distortion. Gold tone.

This pill box is 1" tall and 1 1/2" in diameter. It has four tiny red stones and two clear stones on the top. There is a clear stone on the little piece that opens the box. There are eight tiny amber

 

A beautiful 1950's piece for that flamingo collector that thinks she has it all! Or the vintage compact collector. It measures 3 3/4x 3 3/4" . The brass on the bottom could use some polishing. Flaming
