UP FOR AUCTION IS A EARLY 20TH CENTURY CLAY TURPENTINE DRIP POT. THIS CLAY POT HAS RIDGES AROUND THE OUTSIDE AND A HOLE ON ONE SIDE FOR HANGING ON A TREE TO CATCH PINE SAP, RESIN, OR MAYBE EVEN MAPLE

 

It appears to be some sort of horn. It has a brass fitting on one end, and a wood looks like cap on the other. I have not attempted to open it because of the damage as can be seen in pictures 2 and 8
