This is an original stamped brass antique button of Billy Possum. It has a tinned iron back with shank and measures 3/4". Billy Possum was a popular nickname for William Howard Taft, President 1908 an

 

Just above the birds head there is a mother of pearl flower that appears to be missing. Can it be replaced? It sure would be a great button if it could. It measures about 1 1/2 inches across the fan.
