Turns on and lights up. Motor works. I have no tape to test it.

 

Up for auction is this vintage Akai GX-635D reel-to-reel tape recorder obtained at a local electronics' buff estate closing. When plugged in, everything ran smoothly and all appropriate lights lit up.
