Quite nice for being VERY old. Shows its age some but I would say still very useable. By the one lever it says Pat'd 10- 12- 97. One the back lever it says STANLEY. The bottom is 6 1/4" x 1 7/8" x 2 1

 

This is a nice Stanley No. 71 double beam marking gauge. It has brass wear plates and the original points which are in excellent shape. Brass insert, under the thumb screw, on one side, is missing but

 

From the 1940s. About as nice as they come. A little light surface rust in the corners and on the unpainted hardware. The trays look nearly new. Smells like an old tackle box. About 18" long, 7" wide
