This Auction is for a "Elm City Counter" made by Veeder - Root, made in Bristol, Conn., USA. This piece is made of solid brass and as you can see in the pictures the brass is discoloring from age and

 

TWO PIECE WOODEN HAT MOLD, PROBABLY FROM THE LATE 19TH CENTURY. MARKED AHS, ALONG WITH VARIOUS HAT SIZES. THE WHITE MATERIAL MUST HAVE BEEN SOME SORT OF PLASTER USED IN THE MOLDING PROCESS.
