This sunflower is circa 1936 and is made of silk, I believe, with a brown felt center and has a bendable green-covered wire stem that was intended to be worn through one's coat/shirt button hole. The

 

Excellent condition; does not show any signs of wear. No tassel and the button is covered with same velvet like material as most of the tam itself.
