This compass is brass and in a wood box on gimbals. Compass S/N 22386. The Company keeps details on each S/N dating back 130 years with hand entrys. This compass was manufactured in 1896 and was sold

This gauge is in very nice cosmetic condition. It is about 10” long. The gauge is mounted on a gimbal swivel which is mounted to a wood base. It is quite heavy, about 6 ½ lbs before packaging.
