This was given to me in the mid-1970's by RCA for repairing an early Victor phonograph for their corporate museum in New York. At the time, I was told that it dated from the 1850's. The body is hollow

 

These were produced for AT&T in the 90's as a method to sell advertising on payphones. They were produced by AT&T and had a comcode number. I worked at a location that received them as scrap.

 

This old radio is in good condition. Produced in 1937 to 1938, according to the web it cost $125.00 new at the time, or nearly $500 in todays money. Radiomuseum.org has more information on this radio.
