According to my research Doll VIII began production in 1929. The doll is 21" tall with a swivel head and human hair wig. The slender body has sewn on arms (one usually bent) and legs with disc joints.

 

The doll is double faced. One side represents a female and the other side represents a male. It is very unique. It seems to be some kind of folk art, authentic and hand made in the U.S.A but I do not
