4 to 5-gallon clear Mason Jar marked "MASON'S PATENT NOV. 30TH 1858" in the front of the jar which has a large star. The back of the jar has an American Eagle with Shield, with 3 stars above the eagle

 

A great little medicine bottle that was blown from an olive amber glass at either Keene or Stoddard, New Hampshire. I dug this around 1970 in Peterborough, N. H. It stands 4 3/8" tall and is 1 5/8" in
