Up for auction is this nice, well made old hardy for a blacksmith anvil. Measures approx. 4" long overall; shaft measures approx. 1" across (made for a 1" hole). Looks like the shaft has been shimmed,

 

a Stanley No. 4 smooth plane. Looks like a type 12 with the single patent date between the frog and the tote. In good shape with no issues to keep it from being a good user. Tote and knob are rosewood

 

A vintage wrench manufactured by the Erie Tool Works in Erie, Pennsylvania U.S.A. It has been refurbished myself personally. Originally it had a bit of rust on it and some hammer marks across the back
