My wife received this sewing machine as a Christmas gift in the early 1950s. She only remembers using it on a few occasions right after receiving it.

 

This looks to be an old two-lidded sewing box with lovely curved handle made out of a very nice fine-grained wood. It is dirty and unpolished on the outside, shows signs of wear but is solid and well-
