This is a fine violin. One can tell by the superior tone woods chosen, the finely grained table, the one piece back. No open seams, some work will be required on the neck where it attaches to the body

 

BEING OFFERED IS A NICE OLD VIOLIN. THE LABEL INSIDE READS COPY NICOLAUS AMATI MADE IN GERMANY. IT COME WITH A NICE LEATHER LOOKING CASE WITH A NICE ZIPPER INSIDE AND 2 BOWS. I DONT SEE EITHER MARKED

 

Overall length with mouthpiece inserted is 17" and 14 1/2" removed with a 4 5/8" bell. Plays in the key of C. I have played it in a period brass piece. It has a unique sound as it is more conical than

 

Old drum with wood body and rings. Both skins have tears. Pretty well beat up. 12" tall by 15" diameter. For restoration, parts, or repair. Don't see any makers mark.

 

I am anything but an expert on drum construction, but if I had to guess I'd say that this drum, which is dated 1784 beneath the monogram denoting, presumably, its original owner (see my 2nd picture),
