For auction is a beautifully carved Wheeler & Wilson antique sewing box. It is missing the button latch mechanism. Other than that, the wood is in great condition with no splits, chips or cracks.

 

I love old buttons....especially cut steels and bakelite. I have hundreds of them, and love looking at them... but it's hard to show off cards of mounted buttons unless someone comes to my home. I've

These buttons are inlaid with silver metal and are made of dark navy glass. No makers make that I can find. Chips on several but still nice for a vintage or civil war era costume. Approx. 7/8 inch.
