This wire and wood jug handle probably was used on an old stoneware batter jug during the late 1800s. My guess is that the jug broke and this handle was never discarded. It has a 3 1/4" wooden handle

 

Recent barn fine in old building they were tearing down in Augusta GA. Cord was cut at the swtich but otherwise in good shape. Could be restored and used or kept on a shelf as a conversation piece or
