Here is what I know. The tuning needle is missing, but presumably inside the case, on the bottom. The tuning string must be broken, because the tuning dial just spins and spins. I did not try hooking

 

A nicely matched quad of 6BM8 tubes, 3 x Mullard, 1 Miniwatt, all made in Australia in the same factory. They are used but tested still tested strong. No leakage, gas or shorts. Tested on an AVO CT-16
