A VERY REAR VIOLIN BY FRANCOIS SALZARD FROM FRANCE. François Salzard was Born 1808, died 1874. Assumed to be the brother of Dominique Salzard, above. Similar work on large Mirecourt/Stradivari model.

 

This violin has a great sound. Last played 16 years ago by my daughter. Much better then China made violins. Needs repair. Have two quotes, both at $100 to re-glue face and insert included sound peg.

 

Old cello bow in good condition. Made at the Francois Lotte workshop, circa 1950 in my opinion. Frog and screw later. Very good balanced brown wood (possibly pernambuco?), round stick, very nice cambe
