This was in the family for over 65 years I had it examined by an appraiser who told me who made it and the approximate age, since I couldn't find any labels, since they have long ago fallen off. The k

 

This instrument is 37" long overall and 12 1/2" wide at it's greatest point. It bears the name "d'Orso just below the bridge. There is a with the grain split on the top and a split stave on the back.

 

Old cello bow in good condition. Made at the Francois Lotte workshop, circa 1950 in my opinion. Frog and screw later. Very good balanced brown wood (possibly pernambuco?), round stick, very nice cambe
