Vintage red butterfly bakelite dress clip. It is in very good condition - the hinge still works well, but there is some light corrosion/tarnish on the metal clip. It measures approx. 7/8" x 2" x 1/2".

 

Here is an original rod.It does have fine cracks the length of it.
