Antique draughtsman's mechanical inkwell, made by Theo. Alteneder & Sons, Philadelphia, circa 1910, cast iron and steel with glass bottle, approx. 5-1/2" x 2-3/8" x 3-1/2", with original decal/lab

 

Lovely monocle- type single lens with ear hook. Acquired with understanding that frame is gold although there are no makers marks or gold marks. Home tests for gold were positive but karat not known.
