This beautiful antique scrimshaw letter opener is hand carved and signed by the artist. In very good condition, the scene depicted is an eskimo on a sleigh being pulled by either a moose or a caribou.

 

Normal wear consistent with its age; surface is tarnished with heavy patina, light scratches and smoke marks inside the dome. This is a nice vintage lantern.
