You are looking at a Vintage Chatillon Hanging Scale with Tray. It is from Feb. 3, 1931 pat. # is 1791111 Weighs up to 40 lbs. It is rusty but it still in working condition! The scale is 8 1/2" in dia

 

Adze is in good solid condition. Just has been rusty. I buffed it out and oiled. I think it has original handle. I can't see any markings.
