This is a pretty, delicate 19th century sprigged hat veil edged with Bucks lace. Good condition but has a fair amount of rusty age marks - these may come out with careful laundering. It measures 44 in

 

I ALWAYS MARVEL HOW THINGS ARE PRESERVED AND HANDLED DOWN GENERATIONALLY. IT HAS HAD REPAIRS THROUGH THE YEARS IT IS STILL A SOFT CUDDLEY QUILT THAT THE GRANDKIDS BEG TO USE WHEN THEY SPEND THE NIGHT.

 

10 yards of peach and cream colored French flower ribbon trim it burns as silk with a little bit of ash left over so I think it is primarily silk there is 10 yards, approximately 1/4 to 3/8 inch wide
