I had some old 8 Tracks , that I wanted to convert to digital. It played them well, it all still works good, for being 40+ years old. My opinion is that the older things were built to last.

 

These two el95 tubes are new old stock. The boxes are pretty rough shape but the tubes are fine. They both have the same stock numbers.
