Here is a small strand of vintage Venetian end-of-day African trade beads. Literally these beads are made at the end of the day from bits and pieces of glass left over on the bead maker's table. This

 

The strand is strung on a sinew type material. The longest faceted beads are 2" long and the total strand length is about 22". The beads come as I purchased them at a live Northwest & Pacific Coas
