This is a string of very large old beads. They are simulated amber or copal. I did several tests on them, they are thermostatic, they pick up pieces of paper when rubbed, they fracture when cut, they

 

These are beads that have been around for a very long time, possibly pre-1900s. The wedding cake beads are made of an opaque sky blue that was wrapped with delicate gold foil and then very thin trails
