Antique Carved Mother of Pearl Shell Button. This is a large button and not damage to it at all.It measures 1 3/8" and has a pearl luster.

 

This is one of several patterns we found when cleaning our attic! Our house was build in 1903 so I'm guessing this pattern may be from the 1920's era. The envelope is very fragile and colored by age.
