Two beautiful sterling thimbles. Both are marked with the five pointed star, the smaller thimble has the star and sterling stamped. The size 9 thimble seems to have a hint of a gold wash on alternate

 

These buttons are inlaid with silver metal and are made of dark navy glass. No makers make that I can find. Chips on several but still nice for a vintage or civil war era costume. Approx. 7/8 inch.
