This is a vintage oval-shaped gold metal powder compact, probably from the late 1940s or very early 1950s or so. The lid of the compact features a piece of guilloché enameling with an egg-shell white

 

Good condition. The puffer doesn't work. It is broken under the knitted area. The top appears to have a small chip. Is hard to tell though due to the shape of it. Please view all pics carefully. This
