This is a Western Electric transmitter arm from a wall telephone. You can use it as is or restore it. There is rust as you can see in the pictures. The arm does move up and down.

 

I HAVE NO HISTORY ON THESE MINI KNOBS. BUT THE SET SCREWS MAKE THEM USABLE ON MANY DIFFERENT SHAFT RADIOS
