The diameter of this old compass is about 1 5/8" (41mm). Condition is not that great, but the lid closes good, the glass isn't broken, there are no major dents, but the push pin tends to come loose on

 

3 1/4" Wide x 3 1/4" Wide x 2 1/8" High Wonderful new reproduction scrimshaw carved bone box. As you can see this piece is tiled with ox bone on wood and decorated with a design typical of the period.

 

I am not sure what this is called but it is solid brass and has the hallmark of Wilcox and Crittenden. It is in very good condition and measures 3 3/8 inches by 2 3/8 inches. The "eye' on top is about

 

This great estate find is in very nice condition. Just missing the little tightning knob. Measures 9'' x 3 1/2".
