This looks to be an old two-lidded sewing box with lovely curved handle made out of a very nice fine-grained wood. It is dirty and unpolished on the outside, shows signs of wear but is solid and well-

 

My photos do not do justice to these beautiful buttons. I could not capture the iridescence of the mother of pearl or the flashes of color in most of them. The card measures 12" top to bottom and 9" s
